STOLEN CARS

“JOYRIDERS” ACTIVE “Joyriders” have been busy among the motor-cars during the last two nights. Two cars were taken last evening, but have been recovered by the police. One car, the property of Mr. W. Millerchen, of Dominion Road, was taken from Jersey Street last evening between the hours of 7.30 and 8.45 o’clock. It was recovered in Watson Avenue, Edendale, backed against an electric light pole. The other car belonged to Mr. R. G. Proud, of Bombay. It was taken from Dominion Road between 8 and 9.30 o’clock last evening and was recovered to-day in Newton.

The two other cars, one belonging to Mr. J. S. Hope and the other to Mr. J. W. Bayley, have also been returned to their owners.
