AUCKLAND LADIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED In the final of the championship of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday, Miss E. Culling defeated Miss Rathbone, 3 and 1. The junior championship went to Mrs. Endean, who defeated Mrs. Gorrie 6 and 4. Rain and wind were unpleasant conditions for the events. The first hole went to Miss Rathbone in four, the second to Miss Culling and the third was halved. Miss Rathbone took the fourth. A well-played 5 at the fifth gave a win to Miss Culling, Miss Rathbone finding trouble in the hazard near the green. The seventh and eighth went to Miss Culling,- with two 3’s, but she was unable to keep the lead and Miss Rathbone squared at the 10th, the lltli being halved. Both players drove well at the 12tli, Miss Culling’s second finding the sand bunker beside the green. She made a good approach, however, and holed out in 4, to 3. At the next hole, Miss Culling missed her drive, and Miss Rathbone again squared with 3 to 4. The 14th was halved. A duffed approach cost Miss Rathbone the 15th, and a win in 4 to G at the 16th made Miss Culling dormy 2. At the next hole, Miss Rathbone caught the bunker with her second and the match ended, 3 and 1 in Miss Culling’s favour. The second round of the W. R.
