FACE TICKLE
COSMETICS TO BLAME A NEW AFFECTION By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Monday. The “Daily Mail” says that one frequently sees persons raise their hands to their face and rub the skin, apparently to remove an insect which they find non-existent. A doctor explains that this is a new habit, similar to those observed in neurotics. It may be due to the lavish, use of cosmetics causing skin irritation.
The habit is also observable in men who now greatly employ cosmetics. The affection is catching, one member infecting a whole family.—A. and N.Z.
