SIR CHARLES COGHLAN S V Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright Reed. 9.5 a.m. CAPETOWN, Monday. Sir Charles Coghlan, Premier of Southern Rhodesia, died suddenly after a seizure on his way home from church. His age was 64. —A. and N.Z.

The Hon. Sir Charles Patrick John coghlan was first Premier, and Minister Native Affairs in Southern Rhodesia since 1923. He was born in Cape Colony in 1863, and was educated at St. Aidan’s college, (Jrahamstown. and the South African College at Capetown. He was fluted a knight in 1910, and a K.C.M.G.
