Press Association. WELLINGTON, Monday. The second official New Zealand basketball tournament opened to-day in glorious weather. Wellington defeated Otago, 41 —11; Ashburton accounted for Canterbury, 16—11; and Hawke’s Bay went under to Southland, 22—9.
