The Maheno Hold-up.—The secretary of the New Zealand Seamen’s Union advises that his union has not sent any communication to the stewards whose action has held up the Maheno at Sydney. A cable message published yesterday said that the New Zealand Seamen’s Union had notified the stewards that they were not supported by that union. The message erred inasmuch as this action should have been attributed to the New Zealand Cooks and Stewards’ Union.
