THAMES A. AND P. SOCIETY

ENROLLING NEW MEMBERS The new president of the Thames Valley Agricultural, Pastoral and Horticultural Association has started his term of office by inaugurating a campaign for new members, and at a meeting of the association last Saturday 33 new members were enrolled. All but four had been obtained as a result of the president’s own efforts. The association last year had a membership of 287, of whom 227 were financial. As a result of the present effort it is expected to bring the total close to 400. The association is now in a good financial position and has considered whether it should not cancel its overdraft, privileges and release the whole of the guarantors. Meanwhile the right to an overdraft is to be preserved, but any guarantor who wishes to withdraw is at liberty to do so.
