NEW LYNN GLEE CLUB

HAS SUCCESSFUL YEAR The Sunbeam Glee and Social Club, New Lynn, has appointed the following officers for the ensuing year: President, Mr. E. R. Edney: hon. secretary, Mrs. B. G. Brown; hon. treasurer, Miss Hale; committee, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Piggales, Mrs. Henry and Mr. G. Laurie; conductor, Mr. M. Young: pianist, Miss E. Lloyd; social committee, Mrs. Wilson, Miss Laurie, Mrs. Gooder, Mrs. Clarke and Mr. F Jackson. The club comprises 36 .active and 11 honorary members. During the past year a concert was given in the Delta Theatre, and a programme was given at the Auckland Broadcasting Station. Both were well received, and at the last-mentioned an invitation was extended by the management of IYA for another programme at an early date. Toe club’s special thanks have been convened to Mr. M. Young, conductor, and Mrs. B. G. Brown, pianist, for their services. The title of the club has been changed to “The New Lynn Glee Club.”
