DEATH OF MISS MANDENO
ARDENT CHURCH WORKER The death occurred at the residence of her niece, Mrs. H. F. Saunders, Hamilton, on Thursday, of Miss Sophia L. Mandeno, a lady who has been a resident of Te Awamutu for many years. Miss Mandeno, who had reached the advanced age of 82, was well and favourably known throughout the Waikato. She was an enthusiastic church worker, and was for many years organist of St. Andrew’s Church, Te Awamutu. The interment took place at the Rangiaohia Cemetery, where the Rev. W. Butterworth conducted the funeral service in the presence of a large number of mourners.
