GERMAN FLAG DISPUTE

HOTEL BOYCOTT STEP BY GOVERNMENT By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. Tlie Berlin correspondent of “The Times” says the flag dispute is spreading. The Prussian Government has followed the example of the Berlin municipality and declared a boycott of the hotels which did not fly the Republican flag on Constitution Day (August 11). The Government is especially incensed with the proprietors of one hotel on which the Stars and Stripes were flown on American Independence Day. The Prussian President, Herr Braun, has urged Ministers not to appear in the hotels under any circumstances. He has requested the German Government to support the Prussian Cabinet in its attitude on the matter. —Times.
