BRITANNIA
“IT” TO-NIGHT Elinor Glyn has rejoined Paramount. Through one of the most important agreements in motion picture enterprises, the brilliant English author recently entered into an arrangement whereby she transfers production activities to the organisation that originally introduced her works to the screen. The announcement carries with it the news that the first Elinor Glyn production stars Clara Bow. “It,” this new novel, -will soon appear serially in newspapers. Miss Bow, whose striking personality and brilliant performance in “Mantrap” catapulted her to the pinnacle of film fame, is supported by Antonio Moreno in “It,”, which is being shown iat the Britannia Theatre. Clarence Badger directed. “I have been afforded no greater pleasure in many months than our finewal of business affiliations with Madame Glyn,” said Jesse L. Lasky, first vice-president of the Famous PlayersLasky Corporation. “Her achievements are truly remarkable. In ‘lt’ we believe she has given us a subject of tremendous interest and appeal, one that is ideally suited to the vivacious Miss Bow. Certainly the combination of Elinor Glyn; with her keen insight into human nature and public tastes; of Clara Bow, with her flaming personality; and of the novel theme, absorbing story and intriguing title, ‘lt,’ is a happy one.”
