A POPULAR PAIR
PRESENTATION AT HENDERSON In recognition of services given to assist the monthly gatherings of the Catholic Social Club at Henderson, a presentation was made on Thursday to Airs. Smith, wife of Constable Smith, and her father, Mr. R. J. Elliott. Father Colgan, in asking Mrs. Smith’s acceptance of a Chinese brass carved table and a shell vase, and to Air. Elliott a travelling companion, said they were all sorry to lose them, but as Constable Smith had been j transfered to Mount Eden it was the ! latter’s gain. Airs. Smith and her j father had always taken a keen interest in the activities of the social club, and they would be greatly missed. I Suitable replies were made. *
