WHANGAREI RUGBY REPS. CHOSEN
(Special to THE SUN.') WHANGAREI, Wednesday. The senior representative selector of the Whangarei Rugby Union, Mr. F. Little, has chosen the following team to play Northern Wairoa for the Harding Shield next Saturday:—Fullback, C. Griffen; tlireequarters, G. Kerr, D. Wilson, A. Findlay; five-eighths, G. Nicholls, A. Mackey; half, G. Smith; rover, H. Paki; hookers, P. Morrissey, W. Morrissey: lock a. Wells “Bunny” Finlayson, T. O’Shea; back, row. M. Sheriff, E. Aim. Emergencies Forward, C. White; backs, J, Britland, A. Waterman. As Aim is away on holiday, it is probable that White will take his place. Britland is also absent at present, so it will be necessary to select two further emergencies, one for each division. At the Rugby Union meeting to-night it was decided to select Mr. S. G. Boggs (Whangarei) as referee from the three names submitted, and to forward his name to Northern Wairoa for approval. The other two referees available are Messrs. N. Robinson (Dargaville) and J. Constable (Helensville).
