DEVONPORT LEAGUE CLUB’S GATHERING

The United Football Club, of Devonport, celebrated its annual gathering with pictures and a concert in the Victoria Theatre, Devonport last night. The artists included Misses Peggy and Marjorie Jackson. Miss Ida Lockwood, Miss Peggy Cutting, Messrs. Calvert, Massee, Meldrum, Bickerton, Vernon, Forshaw, Marryatt, Turner, Samuels, Knight and the Dentice Trio. Mr. Swinnerton, president of the club, thanked the theatre manager and the artists for the entertainment, and cheers were given for the club, which ran well up on the competition ladder.
