AUCKLAND LADIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP One of the semi-finals in the Auckland Ladies’ Club championship was played at Middlemore yesterday. Miss Culling only managing to win at the last hole from Miss Upton. Miss Upton won the first three holes and was still three up going to the 12th. Miss Culling won the next three, and the match was still square going to the 17th, which Miss Culling won in 4 to 5. The last hole was halved. In a junior semi-final, Mrs. D. Gorrie beat Miss K. Pukekohe Ladies (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Tuesday. In the ladies’ division of the Pukekohe Club, the competition for the Brosnahan Spoons has been won by Mrs. Motion, who defeated Mrs. Beaney in the final, 4 and 3. In the semi-final for the vice-president’s trophy, Miss Duncan defeated Miss Allan, 5 and 4, and in the first round for Mrs. Motion's trophy, Miss Pirrit defeated Mrs. Sommerville, 5 and 3. Results of medal play were as follows: Miss Jefferis, 116—2 G, 90; Miss Duncan, 116—23, 93; Mrs. McWhirter, 130—36, 94; Mrs. Beaney, 128—30, 98; Mrs. Motion, 119—18, 101; Miss Allan, 151—36, 115.
Hamilton Ladies (From. Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Tuesday. The annual open tournament of the Hamilton Ladies' Golf Club has been fixed for September 21, 22 and 23.
