SINN FEINER ANGRY

NATIONAL ANTHEM SUNG IRISH BY-ELECTIONS By Cable.— Press Association Copyright Reed. 9.35 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The Dublin correspondent of “The Times” says that Captain Redmond now declares that he does not intend permanent opposition to President Cosgrave. Miss Mary MaeSwiney is still acting as leader of the unrepentant Sinn £ einers. She affirmed an undying loyalty to the republic, and declared that Mr. de Valera's subscription to the oath almost caused her to shed tears of blood. A section of her audience greatly annoyed her by singing “God Save the King,” and “Rule Britannia.” President Cosgrave declared that the Fianna Fail had spent five years in learning sense, and another five were essential before it could be entrusted with the task of Government. Other speakers at the election meetings urged a rapproachment of the right wing of the Fianna Fail with the Government.—Times.
