SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Secondary schools throughout the Auckland province broke up for three weeks’ vacation last Friday. The primary schools, which are to have two weeks’ holiday, will break up next Friday. These are the second term holidays, the last for this school year. The annual examinations for the teachers' “C” and "D” grade certificates are to commence on Tuesday next, August 30, and will be held at the main centres throughout the Dominion. They will last for about a fortnight. Auckland candidates are to be examined at the Kowhai Junior High School.
