Round the Churches

Tlie anniversary of the Grange Road Baptist Church was celebrated yesterday. The Rev. L. Sale-Harrison, 8.D., of Sydney, was the preacher at the morning service, and the Rev. A. S. Wilson in the evening. The choir gave special items. The Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour spoke on “A Preacher Breaks Gaol” at the evangelistic service at the Methodist Central Mission. The usual Sunday afternoon service was held by the Y.M.C.A., when the Rev. A. W. McMillan, who has returned after three years in Fiji, gave an account of his experiences. The morning service at the Royal Oak Baptist Church was conducted by Mr. R. Simpson and Mr. N. Nagel, of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, was the speaker in the svenins’ , An address on ’’Mind” was given at the First Church of Christian Scientists. The Associated Churches of Christ held services as usual at Ponsonby Road. Dominion Road. Richmond. Avondale. Pukekohe, Onehunga, Mount Albert and Devonport. CHURCH ANNIVERSARY The anniversary of the Edendale Presbyterian Church was celebrated yesterday by special services, and in spite of the inclement weather there were good attendances. The Rev.
