VONE of the horses engaged in steeplechase events at Ellerslie has been schooled over the trying hill lately. The going on the hill is in a very heavy state, much worse than on the flat, so it will probably trouble some of the For the events on the flat it is hardly necessary to remind racegoers that horses by Catmint and Lucullus are quite at home in the soft ground they will be called upon to negotiate to- morrow.
