TIMBER-MILLERS NOT GUILTY OF FRAUD

JURY’S DECISION Press Association. NAPIER, Thursday. In the Supreme Court yesterday. Frank Burge and Oliver Burge were charged that, between March 4 anc April 11, at Hastings, with intent tc defraud, they attempted to obtain froir C. and A. Odlin, of Wellington, £l9l by falsely representing that they hac supplied that company with 47,350 ft of timber valued at £ 648, whereas thej had only supplied 35,262fL, valued ai £ 489. Frank Burge was charged with obtaining £79 from C. and A. Odlin bj falsely representing that he had supplied them with 40,982 ft. of timber valued at £612, whereas he had supplied only 36,307 ft., valued at £532. Accused pleaded not guilty. The case was continued to-day, wher the jury found both men not guilty ol the charges.
