ARCHBISHOP VISITS CAWTHORN INSTITUTE

(Special to THE SUN.) NELSON, Wednesday. Speaking at the luncheon of the Nelson Rotary Club to-day, Archbishop Averill expresesd his gratitude for the privilege extended to him this morning, when he was shown over the Cawthron Institute. The Archbishop said he would like to think the Government would have enough sense to subsidise the institute as much as it possibly could. He realised what a tremendous service it was doing.

The blackberry had a strong hold in the North, but he realised that as a result of the great knowledge and v ork of Dr. R. J. Tillyard, the blackberry would very soon have a serious enemy.
