AUCKLANDERS IN LONDON ACCIDENT

DR. AND MRS. HOLMDEN HURT TAXI’S CRASH INTO BUILDING A cable message received from London yesterday states that as a result of a laxi-cab accident Dr. and Mrs. H F. Holmden, of Auckland, have been detained at Charing Cross Hospital. The accident was the result of an attempt on the part of the driver to avoid a pedestrian, the car crashing into a building in Haymarket. The cab was wrecked and the driver and pedestrian were also removed to hospital. Dr. Holmden, who is well known ir. Auckland, left for England in April last, and was expected to return at Christmas. No further intimation as to the extent of the injuries sustained has been received locally.
