NEARING “THE ISLAND”

A DRUNK WARNED Maurice O’Neill, aged 25, was told by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., to-day that he was rapidly qualifying for transport to Koto Roa Island. O’Neill pleaded guilty in the Police Court to his fourth charge of drunkenness within six months. He also admitted breaking his prohibition order for a. second time. After giving accused his warning the magistrate fined him £2, in default seven days’ imprisonment for drunkenness, and £l, in default three days’ imprisonment for breach of the prohibition order.
