DATE BLANCMANGE
Bring to boil 1 pint milk. 2 dessertspoons sugar, and thicken with 3 dessertspoons of cornflour. When cooked, add a small teaspoon vanilla and teaspoon butter, and beat well for a few minutes. Then add about :» dates, stoned and cut in halves, and put all in mould to set. When cold, turn out and decorate the top with a few dates.
