NEW DIRECTOR OF TUTORIAL CLASSES
UNIVERSITY APPOINTMENT The resignation of Mr. L. A. Maude M. following his acceptance of * post with the University of Washing ton, having been accepted, the Univesity Council yesterday appointed N. M. Richmond, 8.A., as director c. tutorial classes, to take effect fn® January next. Mr. Richmond, who is at preset assistant to Mr. Mander, is the son o* Professor M. W. Richmond, of victoria College. He was educated »• Wellington and Nelson Colleges afterwards at Canterbury CoIKP where he graduated B.A. in won a senior scholarship in apj»« mathematics. He was scarcely * military age when he enlisted inlL In 1919 he was awarded aRW Scholarship, and on his return to M Zealand he held secondary school v pointments and took up the post - assistant tutor-organiser of tutor*, classes at Auckland in 1925.
