CANTERBURY RUGBY REP. TEAM CHOSEN

(Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. The selectors have chosen the following team to represent Canterbury in the forthcoming interprovincial Rugby fixtures:—Fullback, Harris; threequarters, Robilliard, Carleton, Steel; five-eighths, Lilburne, McGregor; half, Dailey, forwards, Burrows, White, Scrimshaw, Gray, Pickering, Alley, Godfrey, Jackson. Emergencies: O’Connor, Jeffries, Robinson, Doreen, Mullan, Payne. The only man new to local Rugby enthusiasts in the selected fifteen is Pickering, a country representative who gained his place chiefly through his fine display in the country team’s forwards last Saturday. He is a fine type of forward and should be an acquisition to the Canterbury pack.
