ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. On their arrival from the West Coast to-day the Mayor, the Rev. J. K. Archer, introduced the ten “Miss New Zealand” finalists to a huge throng in Cathedral Square, from the balcony of the United Service Hotel. They were accorded an enthusiastic reception. The. order of the candidates stil Iremains: First: Miss Dale Austen (Miss Otago”). Second: Miss. Vera Hodge( Maid of Honour to “Miss Otago”). Third: Miss Leon McCall (“Miss Canterbury”). Fourth y Miss Morgie Cameron (Maid of Honour to “Miss Southland”). Fifth: Miss Hazel Spiers (“Miss Wellington”). Sixth: Miss Billie Andreasson (“Miss Auckland”). Seventh: Miss Hildred Graham (Maid of Honour to “Miss Auckland”). Eighth: Miss Winnie Tonkinson (“Miss Southland”). Ninth: Miss Pat Smidt (Maid of Honour to “Miss Wellington”). Tenth: Miss Jane Kinsey (Maid of Honour to “Miss Canterbury”).
