INCREASED PRODUCTION
MORRINSVILLE CO. (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Friday The output of the Morrinsville Cooperative Dairy Company, Ltd., was 40 per cent, greater than that of the previous season, according to the chairman, Mr. J. E. Leeson, at the annual meeting of the company held yesterday. * The season, said the chairman, nad been the most favourable he had known in his 24 years’ experience. In spite of the operations of the Control Board, the total payout to suppliers would average 16.139 d for the year. Manufacturing costs had been reduced from 2.06 d to 1.53 d and a great improvement had taken place in the quality of the product. This was largely brought about by the payment of >.d premium for superfine butter. A dividend of 5i per cent, on paidup share capital was declared. Messrs. J. H. Geddes, Forbes, West and B. J. Pirrit were re-elected to the directorate. FEILDING STOCK VALUES Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. At the FeUding stock sale there was a medium yarding of both sheep and cattle, and generally competition was good. Fat sheep were yarded in large numbers and maintained the high values of last week. Dairy cattle were keenly sought and practically every line was disposed of under the hammer. Rates were:—Fat sheep: Hoggets, 20s 7d to 265; ewes, 23s 3d to 31s; wethers, 32s 6d to 36s Id; maiden two-tooth b.f. ewes, 25s 9d to 355. Store sheep: Wether hoggets, l3s 9d to 24s 3d; small ewe hoggets, ISs 7d; f. and f. wethers, 30s 3d; f. and f. ewes, 20s 9d: aged ewes in lamb, 13s to 20s Bd. Cattle: Springing Jersey heifers, £4 5s to £lO 10s; springing cows, £5 15s to £8; fat bullocks, £7 7s 6d to £8 ss; fat heifers, £3 to £3 10s; fat cows, £4 2s 6d to £8 Is; yearling heifers, £3 4s to £3 13s.
