TOO MANY CROOKS”

TAYLOR WILL ADAPT Rex Taylor, who has written more motion pictures comedy scenes than any other living man, was assigned to prepare the adaptation and scenario of “Too Many Crooks.” which will mark Mildred Davis’s return to the screen, according to announcement by B. P. Schulberg, Paramount associate producer. The production, a farce comedy of Long Island society life, is being directed by Fred Newmeyer, who made eight Harold Lloyd productions. Apart from Miss Davis, the cast will include Lloyd Hughes, George Bancroft, John St. Polis, George Seigmen, Gayne Wliit--1 man and Tom Ricketts.

Clara Bow, famed possessor of “It,” now brings her magnetic powers to a new field. She has completed work in the title role of “Rough House Rosie,” her second starring picture for Paramount. The picture was directed by Frank Strayer. The screen play, written by Louise Long and Ethel Doherty, was adapted by Max Marcin from the magazine story by Nunnally Johnson.

Lillian Gish is to be starred in the screen version of Channing Pollock's ‘ The Enemy,” which Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer is to screen. Miss Gish is now finishing “the Wind.” an adaptation of Dorothy Scarborough’s famous novel.
