N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM

TOUR OF AUSTRALIA GOOD RECORD ATTAINED By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright SYDNEY, Friday. The New Zealand hockey team has arrived in Sydney. The manager, Mr. Williamson, says the men are in perfect physical condition. He has every confidence in them. He is surprised at the growth of hockey in this country, but thinks there is a little too much Rugby in Victorian hockey, players in the Southern State being inclined to use their weight. The team has so far played seven games in Australia and has won six and drawn one. It has scored 61 goals against 5. The principal scorers are: —Bell, 16; Watts, 14; Seccombe, S; Lusty, 6. Mahony, Fletcher, Hore, Soper and Lusty are the most outstanding players. The New Zealand team for to-mor-row against New South Wales is: Goal, Fletcher; backs, Mahony, Soper; halves, Cole, Morris, Hore; forwards. Lusty, Seccombe, Bell, Watts, Edson. A civic reception will be tendered the team at noon to-day.—A and N.Z.
