ENTERTAINMENTS FOR EVELYN FIRTH HOME

During the month a number of concerts have been given by the members of the Victoria League and Aliss Braithwaite to the inmates of the Evelyn Firth Home, while a bridge party was arranged for the same institution by the Victoria League and a billiard match organised by Air. Sharp, of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. It was reported at a meeting of the Red Cross Society yesterday that the Home is also indebted to Air. F. Hutchinson for arranging with Mr. Clark Irvine for a screening at the Evelyn Firth Home of his picture, “The Birth of a Flower,” in conjunction with a recent concert party.
