RAIN AT PUKEKOHE

A steady downpour of rain commenced in Pukekohe early last evening and continued until this morning. It was the heaviest fall recorded for some time and considerable areas of grass land were inundated, while several sti'eets were impassable for pedestrian traffic. The PukelcoheBuckland Road is also impassable to vehicular traffic. The domain and adjacent primary school playgrounds are submerged. There has been little damage, if any. to growing potato and onion crops.
