STORMS BESET ADELAIDE

LARGE HAILSTONES SIZE OF PIGEONS’ EGGS By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright ADELAIDE, Friday. The city of Adelaide was this evening deluged by hailstones, some of which were as large as pigeons’ eggs, while three separate storms were in progress. The electric lights failed and ail traffic had to be suspended for the duration of the disturbances. The storms ruined the almond crop and most of the fruit crops in the districts surrounding the city.—A. and N.Z.
