OLD TIME DANCE
AT PONSONBY TO-NIGHT At the O’Neill Street Hall, Ponsonby, to-night, the waltz, d’alberts, schottische, and polka, for four brief hours, will come into their own again. Under the auspices of the Grey Lynn Labour Party, a revival of the popular dances of other days will be held. So rarely are they seen in modern dance halls that the function might well be termed a novelty night. A lucky spot waltz will be included in the programme, and good prizes are announced. On Wednesday night the party, by way of a contrast, will hold a special novelty night, which, judging from the arrangements in hand, will be held on strictly modern lines.
