YOUTHFUL PLAYERS Forty members of the unit making * Stockings” for Paramount proceeded to Berkeley, California where the annual boat race between the University of California and Washington was filmed as a part of the picture. Richard Arlen acted as stroke of the crew which later appears in the closeup shots of the production, and the University campus was the background of other sequences. In the party were Richard Arlen, James Hall, Louise Brooks, Nancy Phillips and David Torrence. El Brendel joined the troupe later. Richard Rosson, director, was in charge.
