FIGURES FOR YEAR Press Association. WELLINGTON. To-day. Figures of the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture show that salted butter graded for July totalled 628 tons, unsalted one ton, a total of 629 tons compared with 344 tons salted and nil unsalted in July, 1926, and an increase of S2 per cent. For the twelve months ended July the respective figures were 69,433 and 2,262 tons, a total of 71,655 tons, compared with 59,739 tons and 2,818 tons, a total of 62,577 tons, and an increase of 14.6 per cent. Cheese graded in July comprised. White, 44 tons; coloured. 155 tons; total, 199, against 145 white and 171 coloured; a total of 316 and a decrease of 37 per cent.. For twelve months the figures are: White, 50,427; coloured, 25.585: total, 76.312, compared with 47,174 white and 26,971 coloured; a total of 74,154, and an increase of 2.9. Converting these figures into butterfat equivalent there is an increase of 10.47 in butter-fat production for the 12 months compared with the previous year. Stocks held at various grading ports at July 31 were:. Butter. 1.985 and cheese 503, compared with 2,489 butter and I,BBS cheese on July 31 last year.
