LATE TURF
QUIET MORNING (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. After a frost over night conditions were pleasant for training at Riccarton this morning. All horses were out, including yesterday’s Trentham arrivals, but the work was uninteresting, practically confined to useful pacing on the sand or on the ground outside the hurdles. Gay Queen jumped four hurdles well, though she hit the last. Note and Big Push have arrived from the "West Coast. The tracks dried up well, and should be in good order next week.
