Otago Harbour Board Loan.—The Otas:o Harbour Board lias decided to accept an Australian offer of a loan of £ 50,000 at 33 per cent. This is the first instalment of the £350,000 loan which the board has been authorised to borrow for the construction of the new dredge and other harbour im- | nroyements.
Pacific Institute Delegates.—The members of the delegations from Australia and New Zealand to the recent meeting of the Institute of Pacific Relations left on Wednesday in the Aorangi.—A. and N.Z. Whale On Tauranga Beach.—A huge whale, 65 feet long, stranded on the I Tauranga beach, near Mount Mauni ganui Wharf last night.
