Resignation of N.Z.A.A.A. Selectors
REAPPOINTMENTS MADE WELLINGTON’S MAJORITY (Special to THE SUN.) WELLINGTON, To-day. As a result of the dissatisfaction expressed by several centres affiliated to the New* Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was the personnel of the selection committee appointed some time ago to select New Zealand representatives for the Australasian championships, the four selectors, Messrs. A. C. Kitto, J. Heenan, E. Guy and L. A. Tracy, handed in their resignations at last evening’s meeting of the council. The resignations were accepted, and it was decided to appoint a selection committee of three, an amendment by the representative of the Otago Centre that one selector be appointed from each centre being defeated. The council then appointed Messrs. C. H. Taylor (Christchurch) and E. Guy and A. C. Kitto (Wellington) as selectors.
