CONSTABLE ABSCONDS
COUNCIL MONEY MISSING REQUEST FOR EXTRADITION (From Otir Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, To-day. At the Otamatea County Council meeting yesterday the clerk reported that Acting-Constable Hargraves had left the district suddenly, without accounting for £l4 of the council’s money. Constable Boag stated that Hargraves had absconded to Australia. The clerk was instructed to write to the Minister of Justice regarding the extradition of Hargraves, who is reported to have left a wife and three children behind.
