EPSOM PRESBYTERIANS
— A YEAR OF PROGRESS The report at the annual meeting of the Epsom Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening showed a steady progress made in all departments. The church services had been well attended and the interest in the various activities had been well maintained. Money raised for all purposes amounted to £2,811 4s 4d. In speaking on the report, Mr. Harbutt, convener of the Finance Committee, gave a resume of the expenses contracted through the building and organ funds. The method of subscribing through the envelope system had been established, and well supported during the last two years. It was a matter for congratulation that a deficit in general expenses had been fully met. The Rev. William McDonald, minister of the parish, referring to his recent illness, thanked the congregation for their patience and support, and spoke in terms of gratitude with regard to Mr. Parry conducting services at the infirmary. Reference was also made to the classes held at St. Cuthbert’s College, where Bible study is conducted weekly to a class of about 50 girls.
