“HA, HA-JOKE OVER”
VAUDEVILLE MOVES ON Dick Henderson, with the rest of the J. C. Williamson vaudeville troupe, bade farewell to Auckland theatregoers last night. Henderson, much the outstanding figure on the bili, had made his place in their estimation secure. Looking more like a tradesman than a comedian, he yet managed to invest his confidences with the stamp of distinction, and his “Ah-ha-ha—Joke Over” will linger long. Of the others, Valencia, on his trapeze, was as daring as ever last night. The Zenga Brothers danced amazingly,- and Phil Rich croaked his defiance to senility. Taken all round the show was hardly up to the standard of others the firm has sent.
