“BLIND ALLEYS”
A PARAMOUNT PRODUCTION With two such beautiful leading women as Evelyn Brent and Greta Nissen, Thomas Meighan’s new Paramount production. “Blind Alleys,” is assured of more than its fair share of pulchritude. In addition, those who’ve already seen the picture advise that “Blind Alleys” possesses more than the usual amount of drama, action, thrills, excitement, melodrama and fine acting. Sounds like a big order to fill, but —listen to the story. Starting in Cuba and reaching New York soon after the first reel, “Blind Alleys” follows Meighan and his mate through all the experiences they encounter when arriving in New York. On their first night in America Tom is shown the inside of a hospital, due to an auto accident, and Greta is kidnapped by a crew of desperadoes. Then But why tell any more? If you’re not blind to amusement values, “Blind Alleys” looks like an investment which should prove an attractive bargain. Frank Tuttle, director of nothing but action pictures (remember the “Lucky Devil”?) guided the players through the intricacies of author Owen Davis’s plot.
