AUSTRALIAN COMMISSIONER
RECEIVED BY THE KING By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Friday. The King granted an audience to Sir Granville Ryrie, the new High Commissioner for Australia, and Lady Ryrie. It is not usual for the Queen to join in these audiences to visiting Ministers and commissioners, so that Australia House was surprised and gratified when a telephone message came, stating that the Queen would be delighted to receive Lady Ryrie while the High Commissioner was with the King.—A. and N.Z.
