VALEDICTORY
MORRINSVILLE FUNCTION A number of friends met at the Lounge Tearooms on Saturday afternoon to bid Mrs. G. Birnie farewell. Mr. and Mrs. Birnie are leaving Morrinsvillo to take up residence at Ohaupo, where Mr. Birnie has been appointed postmaster. Competitions were won by Mrs. McKay and Mrs. Hogg. On behalf of those present Mrs. Butler presented Mrs. Birnie with a pretty bouquet, to which Mrs. Birnie suitably responded. Afternoon tea was served and the proceedings closed with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
