“MISS N.Z.” COMPETITION FINALISTS AT RIVERTON (Special to THU SUN'.') INVERCARGILL, To-day. THE support the two Southland finalists in the “Miss New Zealand” competition are receiving in their own province is evident from the fact that Miss Cameron (Maid of Honour) is now third in the running, while Miss Tonkinson (Miss Southland) has crept up a place. Miss Auckland (Miss Billie An* dreasson) and her Maid of Honour (Miss Hildred Graham) have dropped back to fifth and seventh places respectively. The finalists were motored to Riverton yesterday and were informally welcomed by the mayor and citizens. The order is now: First: Miss Dale Austen (Miss Otago). Second: Miss Vera Hodge (Maid of Honour to Miss Otago). Third: Miss Morgie Cameron (Maid of Honour to Miss Southland). Fourth: Miss Hazel Spiers (Miss Wellington). Fifth: Miss Billie Andreasson (Miss Auckland). Sixth: Miss Winnie Tonkinson (Miss Southland).

Seventh: Miss Hildred Graham (Maid of Honour to Miss Auckland). Eighth: Miss Leon McCall (Miss Canterbury). Ninth: Miss Pat. Smidt (Maid of Honour to Miss Wellington). Tenth: Miss Jane Kinsey (Maid of Honour to Miss Canterbury).
