FORTHCOMING LECTURES

FOUR NEXT WEEK An address, illustrated with lantern slides, will be given by Mr. E. Headlam Greenhow in the Princess Theatre to-morrow evening. The subject will be “Egypt, the Land of the Pyramids.” On Tuesday evening a Gilbert and Sullivan lecture recital will be given in the Remuera Library Hail. Mr. Karl Atkinson will speak of the two great men, and musical items will be given by Misses Tui Ward, Nellie Lingard, Mesdames F. Nathan. K. Atkinson., Messrs. R. Dormer, and S. Hamlin. “The Humour and Pathos of a Parson’s Life in the Australian Bush” is the subject of a lecture to be given by the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher in the Grey Lynn Library Hall on Wednesday. The foundation of Australia will be dealt with, and also the clergyman’s life among the aborigines. The first lecture to ladies of the St. John Ambulance Brigade will be given at the Epsom ambulance station on Thursday evening.
