SOLDIERS SEEK RELIEF

MANY NEED HELP APPEALS IN WANGANUI (Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, To-day. The Wanganui-Waitotara Patriotic Association had 48 applications for relief before it at the monthly meeting. One was from a returned soldier Buffering from chest trouble as the result of being gassed in the German trenches, and he had done little or no work since his discharge nearly 10 years ago. Quite a number of others receiving help from the association are still suffering from war disabilities.
