APPRECIATED BY COUNCIL At the conclusion of business at the last meeting of the Oliura County Council, the chairman. Mr. W. S. Currie, stated that he had a pleasant duty to perform. Councillors were aware that the county clerk, Mr. J. McClena- , ghan, was about to be married, and on behalf of the councillors and the engineer, Mr. H. Seerup. he asked Mr. McClenaghai* to accept an eight-day 1 clock, as a token of the esteem in which he was held. He had served the county faithfully for the past IS years, j The remarks were endorsed by the j other councillors and the engineer. In returning thanks, the clerk mentioned that the council had experienced f “lean” times, but everything now ap- j peared to be on a sound footing. He ! was pleased that his efforts had been appreciated.
