WAIPA HOCKEY REPS. ENTERTAINED
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, To-day. The president and vice-president of the Waipa Hockey Association last night entertained all the Waipa representative players who had taken part in the four annual tournaments held in Auckland during Country Week. Mr. Hebden presided, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Special guests were Messrs. B. and L. Spiers, two members of the Waipa representative team, who have been selected for the New Zealand representative hockey team to tour Australia. Among other local players who were present were the captains of the representative team in the past four White Horse Cup tournaments, and five players of the 1914 team which was runner-up to Whangarei.
